I am currently 7 months pregnant with my 3rd baby and since your immune system is suppressed during pregnancy, pregnant women are more susceptible to cold sores and canker sores.

With my first two I got cold sores and with this pregnancy I have had canker sores twice. The first time I never did anything and it went away on its own in two weeks (two very painful weeks).
