I had the opportunity to try two new products from Jif.

The first peanut butter product I tried was Natural Jif Peanut Butter Spread. This is a no stir natural peanut butter so there is oil added to it. 90% of the peanut butter is peanuts the rest of the ingredients are sugar (3 grams per serving), and less than 2% each of palm oil, salt and molasses.

I loved the taste of this roasted peanut taste of this peanut butter and the fact that it wasn’t very sweet. However I would like to see Jif come out with a 100% Natural peanut butter. Of course we would have to stir the peanut butter each time we open the jar if their is no sugar and oil.

The second product was Reduced Fat Jif To Go. This is a fun product, it is peanut butter in small 2.5 oz serving cups. Perfect for school lunches, food on the go or for a picnic. The peanut butter is also super smooth and sweeter than regular peanut butter so it is perfect for dipping. My 3 year old and almost 2 year old daughters loved dipping their apple slices into the Jif To Go cups. Other dipping ideas for a healthy snack for you kids include celery, pretzels and crackers. Here is a video of my daughters enjoying their Jif To Go snack:

Remember when I posted the link to recieve a free Kashi Entree? I recieved mine today! My local Albertsons didn’t have the Tuscani Veggie Bake so I decided to try the Lemongrass Coconut Chicken instead. It is made with all natural ingredients: seven whole grains, vegetables, pilaf, lemongrass coconut sauce and cocunut flakes. Very healthy and delicious! I found the sauce to be subtle flavour which I liked as it did not overwhelm the other ingredients and I could enjoy the taste of the carrots, broccoli and sugar snap peas.

It is rare that I spend over $4 on a single meal so I will likely not buy a Kashi entree at full price but they do give some neat ideas of meals to cook for my family.

Unfortuately Kashi is no longer giving out the free entree coupons but keep coming back to this site to learn about future freebies and giveaways.

The True Delights Chewy Granola Bar. I tried the raspberry dark chocolate and it was DELICIOUS! It certainly was a treat for me and better yet there is not High Fructose Corn Syrup in the granola bar! I don’t like really sweet granola bars and these are perfect with a touch of delicate sweetness.

I learned that they are on sale at my local grocery store for $1 a box and I have two $1 off coupons so I am way excited to treat myself to these bars again for free but seriously, I would pay full price for these!
